Lineage
A lineage is an entry in the shared taxonomy of concepts that MCP.Scientio.Com uses to type things. Every node, edge and attribute in a knowledge graph carries a lineage, which places it in a hierarchy of increasingly general concepts (its hypernymy path) — for example a "sonnet" is a kind of "poem", which is a kind of "text". Typing graph objects this way is what allows content from different sources to be related and searched consistently.
Use these tools to find the right lineage identifier before creating or updating graph objects.
GetKeywords
Gets the keywords starting with the specified initial text that map to a lineage — in effect, an auto-complete over the taxonomy.

FindLineage
Finds the nearest lineage for a word or phrase, given some surrounding context. The context is what resolves ambiguity: "bank" in the context of a river yields a different lineage from "bank" in the context of finance.

LookupLineage
Looks up a full lineage record by its identifier, so you can confirm that it means what you expect.

GetLineagePath
